Hasbro appointed Dan Ayoub, head of Dungeons & Dragons, to lead Wizards of the Coast together with Hasbro Digital Games as president from November 2, 2026. He replaces John Hight, who left in July 2026, and will oversee Magic: The Gathering and Duel Masters among other brands.
Magic rose 34% from $459.4 million, driven by The Hobbit and Reality Fracture, and Wizards' segment operating profit grew 46% to $367 million. Hasbro's Q3 sales rose 15% to $1,595 million; it raised full-year guidance but expects lower Magic sales in Q4.
In a Toy World interview, Hasbro's SVP of Global Licensing describes fan communities and adult collectors as growth drivers, pointing to Magic: The Gathering's base of more than 50 million players and the Transformers film anniversary.
